Diversity in fashion has been a hot topic for decades.  In recent years, many media outlets, young fashion brands and emerging modeling agencies have made conscious strides to increase diversity on the runway and in print media. 

Through Our Lens, Inc. is a NYC based nonprofit organization that uses photography as a medium to increase diversity in the fashion space by mentoring 10th & 11th grade girls who are interested in fashion, but who would not typically have access to the industry.  Co-Founded by Carolyn Pride & Sophie Elgort, the goal of Through Our Lens is to increase gender, racial and socioeconomic diversity in the fashion space, both behind the scenes and in the spotlight.
